Job description

Lead and guide the shipping team in daily operations, including international logistics and documentation.

Provide on-the-job coaching and staff performance evaluations.

Foster team spirit, maintain morale, and encourage open communication to improve productivity.

B. Operational & Shipping Management

Oversee international shipping activities (air and sea), including booking, documentation, and last-mile coordination.

Monitor and verify invoices from forwarders; ensure alignment with agreed rate cards.

Ensure timely handling of shipments with accurate and complete documentation.

C. Customs & Regulatory Compliance

Liaise with customs, MITI, and other authorities regarding export/import regulations (e.g., Butiran 92, Schedule A, Form D).

Monitor and ensure sufficient bond amount for US shipments, coordinating with relevant departments when top-up is required.

Ensure full compliance with customs and shipping regulations in all markets.

Maintain and review shipment costing, including freight, clearance, warehousing, and delivery charges.

Monitor shipping expenses and control cost leakage or variances.

Coordinate with the Finance department on budgeting and payment approvals related to shipping.

E. System & Process Improvement

Continuously seek and implement improvements in shipping workflows and SOPs.

Support enhancements to logistics systems and shipping documentation platforms.

Work closely with IT or system vendors when required for shipping integration.

F. Service & Shipment Quality

Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting lead time expectations and solving shipment issues promptly.

Address any irregularities, delays, or non-conformance in shipments.

Collaborate with the marketing and warehouse teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.

Job Requirement

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain Management

At least above 5 years experience in related field

Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, supervise, and motivate a shipping team to meet deadlines and performance targets.

Proficient in handling export documentation, including Butiran 92 and Schedule A.

Experienced in preparing MITI export costing.

Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with freight forwarders, customs agents, and customers.

Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point, One Drive and Business Central system.

Proficient in using Wrike for project/task tracking and Power BI for data reporting and performance analysis.
