Job summary

A leading household FMCG brand is on the lookout for an Assistant Sales Operation Manager based in Petaling Jaya. The successful candidate will take charge of daily operations within the Modern Trade Channel, ensuring smooth operations and efficiency. Key tasks include liaising with operational teams, supervising staff, and analyzing processes for enhancement while maintaining performance KPIs. This position demands strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in both English and Bahasa Melayu, with Mandarin being an added advantage.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in FMCG.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu; Mandarin is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (70% of time).

Responsibilities

Job description

A leading household FMCG brand is looking for an Assistant Sales Operation Manager to assist in managing daily operation, ensuring efficiency and quality of executions within Modern Trade Channel. This position will be based at Petaling Jaya.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Smollan in developing and implementing operational plans and strategies.

  • Oversee Smollan daily operations, ensuring they align with business goals and maintain efficiency

  • Analyse internal processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions

  • Coordinate with other departments (KA, Mkt & distributor) to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.

  • Supervise Smollan, ensuring they are performing duties efficiently, providing training and delivering feedback

  • Monitor and report on KPIs and present findings to the team

  • Assist with merchandising initiatives, product placement and retail performance.

Requirements:

  • Willing to travel frequent to visit outlets (70% travelling time)

  • At least 3 - 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field, preferably in FMCG.

  • Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu (Mandarin is an added advantage)

  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Knowledge of operational process in the FMCG industry

  • Ability to use data analysis tools and software
