Job Description

This sales professional role is based in the Sunway Visio Tower office and will drive revenue generation across the Asia Water portfolio at Informa Markets Malaysia. The position balances customer retention, growth initiatives, and new business development, serving as a crucial connection between customers and the global network within the water industry marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets for assigned accounts through sales (digital, booth, sponsorship/advertisement and fully integrated packages).
  • Execute assigned sales campaigns against accounts, products, and revenue targets in accordance with the sales plan.
  • Support on‑site re‑booking of existing customer accounts aligned with event allocation and sales targets.
  • Leverage understanding of customer buying trends to help develop sales plans and approaches.
  • Prospect and close new business opportunities inside and outside the existing client base through cold calling and follow‑up calling.
  • Sell to new, existing/lapsed, and lost customer accounts by engaging in conversations and creating compelling proposals while guiding clients through the buying process.
  • Take initiative to independently mine data using critical thinking to acquire new accounts for new sales.
  • Prepare effective sales presentations, including input for newly created profiles.
  • Distribute customer insight and marketing information to the marketing team.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, sales activity, and customer information within Salesforce (CRM system).
  • Manage the handover of sale information and customer requirements (via Salesforce) to the event Operations and Brand teams.
Qualifications
  • Degree holder in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field; or equivalent with 3-5 years sales/tele‑sales experience and a proven sales track record.
  • Experience in handling categories such as Asia Water is a definite advantage.
  • Experience in using Salesforce CRM system desired.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing, required to proof‑read sales material, brochures and promotional content.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Confident, aggressive, pleasant and able to work under pressure.
  • Must be self‑motivated, sales‑driven and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Passionate towards sales and dedicated to achieve personal sales target.
  • Required to travel occasionally.
