Job description

Assistant Sales Manager (HORECA) is responsible for driving sales growth and managing Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafés (HORECA) sector. This role involves developing strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and executing sales strategies to achieve company targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets in the HORECA channel for entire range of products in designated geography and maintain knowledge on competitor activities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant distributors, chefs, consultants/cafes to generate product orders in hotels, restaurants, and cafés.

Maintain company distributors for assigned territories and perform regular visits to sites, forecast sales volume for various projects and maintain knowledge on all product range.

Researching and identifying new sales opportunities and prospective clients in the HORECA segment and similar channels across geography

Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients in alignment with company policies.

Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns tailored to HORECA clients.

Monitor customer satisfaction and handle complaints or issues to maintain positive client relationships.

Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to management.

Ensure timely submission of required data/reports and maintenance of accurate records, statistics and database to management.

Provide trade information and monitor competitors’ activities including pricing and marketing strategies and gather market intelligence to Management on monthly basis or as when is required.

Work closely with the supply chain and operations team to ensure timely delivery and service excellence.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to promote the brand and expand the client base.

Performing additional duties as assigned by the Management.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in FMCG industry in HORECA Sales.

Strong network within the HORECA industry is highly desirable.

Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Results-driven with a customer-centric approach.

Willingness to travel and process own transport.

Energetic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.

Knowledge of food service trends and market behavior in the HORECA sector.
