The Role

As the Assistant Sales Manager, you are responsible for driving sales growth and managing key client relationships within the food ingredients sector. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to meet business development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key and potential business partners, especially high-volume clients.
  • Conduct market research through visits, calls, and interviews to understand customer needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with experienced sales colleagues and participate in meetings to gain insights into customer profiles and challenges.
  • Assist in implementing sales and marketing strategies, including pricing, product portfolio management, and incentive plans.
  • Provide technical support to ensure high-quality customer service and smooth product/application introductions.
  • Prepare sales proposals based on customer consumption analysis and technical requirements, and follow up to close deals.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or Food Science (or equivalent).
  • Has 3–5 years of experience in the food ingredients industry, preferably in a managerial sales role.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to effectively engage with diverse clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable about food ingredients and their applications.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to business development.
