Job Title: Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager
The Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on sales and marketing strategies to increase customer traffic and brand visibility. This includes managing travel agent partnerships, optimizing online travel platforms (like Klook, Traveloka), and boosting walk-in sales through promotions and collaborations. The candidate will play a key role in attracting both domestic and international tourists to the go-karting facility.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute quarterly sales plans to attract tourists and group bookings.
- Collaborate with travel agents, hotels, tour operators, and tourism boards.
- Manage and grow OTA listings (Klook, Langkawi Book, Traveloka).
- Identify new B2B opportunities (e.g. tour packages, hotel combos, team-building packages).
- Marketing Campaigns
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns across digital and offline platforms.
- Create promotional materials (posters, flyers, brochures).
- Run seasonal campaigns (school holidays, long weekends, public holidays).
- Plan social media content and paid ad strategies.
- Manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Update and monitor online listings, website, and customer reviews.
- Analyse digital performance using tools like Google Analytics or Facebook Insights.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly reports showing campaign effectiveness, sales growth, and marketing ROI.
- Track KPIs such as visitor volume, conversion rates, and OTA performance.
- Suggest strategic improvements based on trends and feedback.
- Brand Collaboration & Events
- Coordinate cross-promotions with cafes, resorts, and other Langkawi attractions.
- Plan and support local events or media visits.
- Explore influencer and travel blogger partnerships.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Tourism, Business, or related fields.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales and marketing, ideally in tourism, leisure, or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of Langkawi’s tourism landscape.
- Experience working with OTAs (Klook, Traveloka, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Creative, organized, and results-driven.
- Strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin or other tourist languages is a plus.
- Ability to work on weekends or public holidays (tourism peak hours).
- Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or social media tools is a plus.
