About the role

We are seeking a talented Assistant Resident Engineer to join our growing team at PERUNDING ZAR SDN BHD. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for providing engineering support and oversight for our construction projects in Bagan Datuk, Perak. As a key member of our Civil/Structural Engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure for our clients.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting the Resident Engineer in supervising and coordinating construction activities on site
2. Monitoring construction progress and ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards
3. Conducting regular site inspections and reporting on project status and any issues identified
4. Liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address technical and logistical challenges
5. Reviewing and approving construction materials, shop drawings, and other submittals
6. Providing technical support and problem-solving assistance to the construction team
7. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the project

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar Assistant Resident Engineer or Construction Supervision role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
• Knowledge of construction project management software and tools
