We are an established surface finishing company located in Johor Bahru. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quality Manager to lead the Quality team. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure successful project delivery and team growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Monitor and evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement in quality and efficiency.
Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits to maintain certifications such as ISO 9001.
Analyze data and generate reports on quality performance, defects, and corrective actions.
Lead a team of quality control inspectors, providing training and guidance.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to electroplating processes.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Develop and enforce quality control procedures and inspection criteria.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality management role.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and industry best practices.
Experience in handling customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
Proficiency in quality assurance tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, and SPC.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Priority will be given to those who can start work with the shortest notice period.
