Manages through subordinates, the development and maintenance of quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products for a business unit or corporate. Manages the audits of quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Manages the overall development of inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment as applied to new or existing products. Conducts quality assurance testing as appropriate.

• Recruit and maintain a high-caliber staff appropriate to business circumstances.

• Develop, motivate and challenge all team members to perform to their full potential, providing direct and timely feedback in formal and informal media.

• Delegate and organise departmental workload according to project assignments.

• Co-ordinate interaction between the Quality Department and all other manufacturing and support functions.

• Monitor and evaluate the level of involvement and success of the Quality Engineering activities and their impact on the continuous improvement of process yields and efficiencies. Provide the appropriate level of feedback, support and coaching.

• Provide support to the Business Managers and maintain an active role in functions involving customer interactions. Monitor product acceptance levels (yields) and ensure preventive measures are taken.

• Ensure periodic Internal Quality Audits are conducted to measure the efficiency of the quality function.

• Evaluate and schedule appropriate training programs and seminars for the Quality Assurance staff, including direct employees.

• Represent Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd. as the Quality Management Representative as per ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF16949, AS9100, and TL 9000 requirements.

• Support the implementation of systems stated in all Quality Manuals.
