Job description

To assist the QA manager in ensuring best practices pertaining to the use of quality tools are integrated into all areas of Jabil South, with a primary focus on the manufacturing floor. Drive the training and proper use of quality tools at Jabil South. Recruit quality department staff. Plan for the future and define the role of the QA Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Monitor and evaluate the involvement of QA Department activities and their effects on F4, efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
  2. Participate in planning the long-term and short-term functions of the department to support Jabil.
  3. Manage all operational metrics of the Quality Department to promote continuous improvement.
  4. Plan and justify the departmental budget.
  5. Evaluate, schedule, and prepare training activities.
  6. Recruit, lead, coach, and manage QA Department staff.
  7. Evaluate the effectiveness of the management system at Jabil South and improve it as necessary.
  8. Address profit and loss issues to enhance Jabil’s market position.
  9. Adhere to all safety and health regulations related to this position and as directed by the supervisor.
  10. Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Requirements
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related to the Quality Assurance function.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and PCB assembly processes, results-oriented attitude, and team-based activities.
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry standards.
  • Ability to determine logistics requirements to meet company’s business goals and implement strategies to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in managing business analytics to optimize company footprint.
  • Knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes and global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record in change management, implementing, and managing productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and email.
  • Knowledge of HLA process.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience.
