Job summary

Choo Bee Metal Industries is seeking a production management professional to oversee quality control and daily inspections across the manufacturing process. You will conduct testing on materials and finished products according to policy and standards, and promptly report any non-conforming items to superiors to minimize waste.

The role requires a diploma in a related field, or 2+ years in production management for non-diploma holders, with preferable NDT exposure under ISO 9712 or PCN.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in related field is required; non-diploma holders with 2+ years in production management/manufacturing will be considered.
• Preferable experience in Non-destructive Testing (NDT) per ISO 9712 or PCN.
• Must be mature, self-motivated, resourceful and technically sound.
• Ability to coordinate, execute and perform administrative functions independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality control activities and daily inspections of materials and products across the manufacturing process are conducted timely.
• Conduct testing on materials and products per company policies and standards.
• Report non-conforming products to superiors to salvage rejects and waste.
• Perform additional duties as directed.

• To ensure that all assigned quality control activities and daily inspection of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products of the entire manufacturing process are undertaken on a timely basis.
• To conduct testing on raw materials, semi-finished and finished products in accordance with policies and standards set.
• To ensure that detected non-conforming products are reported to his Superiors immediately so that rejects and wastage can be salvaged.
• To act on any other responsibilities as may be directed from time to time.

Qualification

• At least a diploma holder in related Production Management, Manufacturing, Material or Mechanical Engineering.
• For non-diploma holder, a minimum of 2 years' experience in production management or/ in manufacturing environment is required.
• Preferable experience in Non-destructive Testing (NDT) such as Ultrasonic or Eddy current technology as per ISO 9712 or under PCN scheme.
• Technically sound, and have effective inter-personal skills. Should be mature, self-motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to co-ordinate, execute and perform administrative functions independently.
