Assistant Purchasing Executive
Job description
Job Responsibility
- Perform daily purchasing activities
- Conduct market research & market trends to source potential products
- Identify and pursue new vendor opportunities and develop strong partnerships.
- Analyze and calculate purchasing costs and develop cost reduction strategies.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, including costs and terms of supply, service, quality, timelines, etc. to ensure the best deal.
- Develop and work to improve purchasing processes.
- Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor inventory control to determine purchasing needs and perform inventory management.
- Research and select ideal freight forwarders and negotiate rates.
- Work with other departments to incorporate Purchasing SOP.
- Travel overseas for sourcing and negotiation.
- Maintain cordial working relationships with vendors and supervise vendor activities and performance.
- Assist in new potential product testing.
- Determine product specifications according to various factors and uses.
- Understand products in detail and consult market research materials to support design & sales activities.
- Submit proposals and designs for evaluation by management before moving to the next stage.
- Maintain knowledge of market/industry trends and conduct market comparisons.
- Perform any ad-hoc assignments from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Malaysian only
- Candidates must possess at least a Degree
- Prefer Mandarin speaker due to business nature and mainly sourcing with China.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Prefer candidates from E-commerce/Live Industry background.
- Prefer purchasing/procurement experience from the wellness/healthcare industry.
- Willing to work in Puchong.
- Willing to travel overseas whenever needed.
