Responsibilities
  • Plans, execute events and lead teams from the initial concept to successful completion, managing milestones and deadlines. Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to ensure a successful event.
  • Assist the VP and Project Manager in managing or coordinating all design & innovation-related matters, including team operations, development of specific construction details, design trend and idea research.
  • Assist in producing creative ideas and concept innovations, design development and visualization, preparation & compilation of presentation materials.
  • Assist in preparing design intents, materials selection and costing, from the conceptual design stage up to the design development stage.
  • Attend meetings, site meetings and communicate with clients, consultants and contractors for projects and events, both written and verbal.
  • Inspect project sites for structural and ground conditions regularly to ensure safety in final project, make changes when necessary and report any discrepancy.
  • Assist in the team’s planning related to Marketing, Sustainability, Finance, Maintenance and related areas from time to time.
  • Assist landscape team by counter checking all presentation slides/proposals, tender drawings, construction drawings, submission drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, quotation and BQ related to landscape.
  • Work closely with Genting’s internal departments (Landscape Nursery & Greenkeepers, Genting Nature Adventure, Awana team, etc.) to ensure all requirements meet the deadline and budget.
  • Follow up with clients after completion of a project to ensure satisfaction and maintain future business contacts.
  • Assist in preparing detailed drawings, submission drawings, construction drawings, tender/contract drawings and documents to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Assist Project Manager during the construction stage to ensure intents are interpreted and implemented accurately.
  • Assist in all related landscape matters linked to Genting’s software such as Ariba, GCP, SAP and related systems.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a team environment, multi-task, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Able to interpret landscape drawings and explain details during coordination.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Experience with SketchUp, Lumion or related 3D software is an added advantage.
  • Required languages: English, Mandarin, Malay.
  • Must have own transport and be willing to travel to Genting Highlands weekly or to other sites for meetings and coordination.
