Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or a closely related area from a reputable institution.
• Excellent organisational skills and the potential for leadership (some demonstrable leadership experience is expected for Associate level).
• Proven teaching experience in Higher Education with a focus on international contexts, enriching student learning through diverse global perspectives.
• Ability to engage and retain student interest and inspire learning; strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in securing external research funding or developing a long-term research programme with a robust funding plan.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and Curriculum Leadership: design and develop modules, design and mark assessments, contribute to university teaching strategy and produce teaching materials.
• Research & Scholarship: supervise PhD and project students, engage in specialist teaching based on research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, participate in peer review of publications and grants.
• University/Academic Service: contribute to departmental strategy, project management, participate in international engagement and staff/student community activities, CPD.
