Basic Salary: RM6,210 to RM14,370 (depends on experience)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Nursing.
- PhD in Medical Sciences, Health Sciences, or related field recognized by the Government or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates with strong academic experience (teaching and research) in medical sciences, especially in Pathology and Anatomy.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to work extended hours.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities (verbal and written).
- Passionate and able to inspire students.
- High digital literacy is an added advantage.
Language Qualifications
- Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral exam) at SPM level or equivalent recognized by the Government (for Malaysian citizens).
- IELTS Band 6 or MUET Band 4.
- Candidates without these qualifications must sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.
Scope of Duties
- Serve as a member of the staff of the assigned Kulliyyah/Centre/Department.
- Perform teaching, examining, research, and other academic obligations as normally required of IIUM academic staff.
- Uphold moral and religious responsibilities towards colleagues and students.
- Attend meetings of IIUM Authorities, Boards, and Committees as appointed under the IIUM Constitution, Statutes, or Rector/Dean/Head directives.
- Participate actively in the IIUM community life.
- Advise and guide students regarding their character, behaviour, and moral conduct.
- Fulfill the role of a Mu’allim (teacher), ‘Alim (scholar), and Murabbi (moral educator).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
- Prepare, facilitate, and conduct laboratory sessions and problem-based learning.
- Develop curricula and course materials usable across platforms.
- Collaborate with fellow academics to enhance teaching methods and expand knowledge base.
- Set, invigilate, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Conduct research and write academic outputs such as proposals, journal articles, and books.
- Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings, conferences, and events.
- Engage in institutional training and development opportunities.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students and colleagues.
- Stay updated in the field by active reading and publishing.
