Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure production activities align with the production schedule and output requirements.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities based on daily and weekly schedules.
• Oversee and coach operators to enhance team performance.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Check output against planning schedules and customer orders to meet delivery timelines.
• Identify production inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
• Enforce safety guidelines and company standards in the production area.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and educate personnel on controls and equipment.
• Resolve product quality issues by analyzing data and identifying solutions.
• Discuss with planning team to amend production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Allocate resources to optimize production efficiency.
• Generate and present production reports to upper management.

Job description

Monitor and ensure daily production activities and processes align with the production schedule and output requirements.

Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities based on daily and weekly schedules, ensuring efficient task distribution among operators.

Oversee and coach operators, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and skill development.

Ensure the safe use of equipment and collaborate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance scheduling.

Check production output against planning schedules and customer orders to ensure compliance with delivery timelines.

Ensure all orders meet their respective shipment dates, coordinating efforts to avoid delays.

Identify production inefficiencies and suggest improvements to optimize processes and increase productivity.

Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards within the production area to maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Resolve product quality issues by analyzing data, investigating problems, identifying solutions, and recommending appropriate actions.

Strive for the highest output and productivity, minimizing downtime and rejection rates for dough, finished products, and packaging materials, ensuring that no work‑in‑progress (WIP) is kept overnight.

Ability to discuss with planning team to amend production schedules based on demand and operational capacity.

Ability to allocate resources, including labours and materials, to optimize production efficiency.

Ability to generate and present production reports to upper management.

To report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out of specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to Production Manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience in production, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Basic knowledge of food processing equipment and production processes.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to supervise production operators and support daily production activities.
• Responsible, organised, and performance‑oriented.
