Job summary

GC PACKAGING SDN BHD invites applications for an Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily operations at our food packaging facility in Kulai, Johor. You will ensure production runs smoothly, meet quality and safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will plan schedules, supervise teams, collaborate with QA, maintenance and warehouse, analyse data, control waste, and drive Lean/Kaizen programs while maintaining strict traceability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in a food packaging or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO).

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and manage daily production schedules to meet targets.
• Supervise production and warehouse teams, ensuring safety and productivity.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance and QA to ensure smooth operations.
• Analyze production data (output, downtime, defects) and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).
• Ensure traceability and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
