Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Production Manager to support the Production Manager in overseeing manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth plant operations, high productivity, and adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves team supervision, process optimization, and coordination across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of production schedules to meet operational targets.

Monitor daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured in line with quality, quantity, and efficiency standards.

Make timely adjustments to production plans in response to process changes or unforeseen issues.

Implement and ensure achievement of targets set by management.

Support the enforcement of safety protocols and quality control procedures across the production floor.

Supervise, guide, and motivate production staff and machine operators to maintain performance and discipline.

Ensure accurate documentation of production data and prepare regular performance reports for management.

Collaborate with departments such as Maintenance, Quality Assurance (QA), Purchasing, Sales, and Warehouse to ensure smooth operations.

Identify process gaps and actively contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Troubleshoot operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and delays.

Promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.

Drive initiatives for cost savings, process optimization, and reduction of material wastage.

Requirements:

Possess a Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.

2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Solid knowledge of production operations and quality control methodologies.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
