VX PRECISION PRODUCTS SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join our growing team in Ulu Tiram, Johor. As the Assistant Production Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Ulu Tiram, Johor. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our high-quality precision products.

What you'll be doing

1. Production Planning & Execution: Assist, develop, and implement production schedules to meet output targets and customer demands.
2. Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
3. Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements through rigorous quality control measures.
4. Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to achieve operational excellence.
5. Inventory & Material Management: Monitor raw material usage, coordinate with procurement teams, and ensure adequate stock levels.
6. Equipment Maintenance & Safety: Oversee machine maintenance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations.
7. Cost Control & Budgeting: Manage production costs, optimize resource utilization, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
8. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with local industry regulations and prepare production performance reports for management review.

What we're looking for

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the component assembly industry
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is an advantage
• Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office tools
• Familiarity with Malaysian safety and regulatory standards
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
