Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Tender Planning:
- To work closely with the Tender Team to provide planning services in preparation of logistics planning, Proposed Work Programme, VDC-4D tender schedule simulation, Resource Scheduling such as Manpower, Plant & Machinery, Materials, Method Statement and any other inputs in project planning that is required in compliance for tender submission.
2. Construction Planning:
- To assist and guide the operations team who are in-charge of planning in the setting up and operations of a project planning software at the site office using either Primavera or Microsoft Project and 4D software if required.
- To assist and guide the operations team who are in-charge of planning to ensure the planning & scheduling as per contractual requirement.
- To assist and guide the operations team who are in-charge of planning in preparing and maintaining the Logistics Plan, Project Time Schedule which includes identification of critical path networks, logic links, Resource Scheduling such as Manpower, Materials, Payment Schedule and any other matters requiring attention related to planning that is stated in the contract document.
- To advice the operations team on the process of monitoring and reporting project progress performance and analyse the area of delay, if any, advise action plans to meet schedule. Progress reports and look ahead of programme preparation. Interface with Project Team, Client and Sub-Contractors to disseminate / communicate relevant information on the detailed forecast and actual progress.
- If there are any progress delayed by third party, to advice the operations team who are in-charge of planning and to issue notification of delay in a timely manner and prepare supporting documents for the delay events. Register the delay events and follow-up closely on the Application of Extension of Time.
- To assist and guide the operations team who are in-charge of planning to analyse productivity data, compared actual vs plan and evaluate the impact.
- To assist and guide the operations team who are in-charge of planning to submit a copy of as-built programme, productivity data report actual compared against plan to Planning-HQ for record and future project reference.
3. Research & Development:
- To manage and lead a planning team to analyse, compare and evaluate the collected productivity data from various projects.
- To evaluate current planning work sequence applied within the Company and study on how to improve to increase productivity.
- To identify and source for possible areas of technology / systems for adoption with the aim of increasing productivity and quality.
- To initiate contact and maintain liaison with high-end technology company to study the relevance of their technology and systems for possible applications within the context of our business environment, and to evaluate the feasibility and profitability in relation to cost, performance and quality aspects.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Project Management/ Civil Engineering / Building Construction / Structural / Architectural Engineering related or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and critical path analysis.
- Ability to assess and manage project risks, delays, and resource conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
