Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Air (Import & Export), Ocean (Import & Export), Customs, and Cross-Border.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.
- Prepare quotations for local and overseas offices/agents, supporting the sales and operations team when needed.
- Negotiate competitive rates with co-loaders, carriers, and vendors.
- Ensure timely invoicing of shipments and closure of job files within the specified timeline.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in operational processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with local and overseas offices/agents on shipment damages or operational issues.
- Troubleshoot operational issues promptly and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Oversee and manage end-to-end operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all necessary documentation (bills of lading, invoices, customs declarations, etc.).
- Liaise effectively with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo movement.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in air and sea freight.
- Prepare reports and provide updates to HOD on operational performance and team activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the functional reporting line.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry.
- Diploma or higher qualification, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, meticulous attitude with strong organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a naturally inquisitive mindset.
- Hands-on and proactive approach.
- Proficient in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
