About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this exciting full-time opportunity as the Assistant Operations Manager will allow you to play a key role in the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of this prestigious boutique resort.

What you'll be doing
  • Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing all aspects of the resort's operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, recreation, and maintenance
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are met and maintained across all areas of the resort
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage and lead a team of department supervisors and front-line staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve any operational issues that arise
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making process for the resort
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar operations management role within the hospitality and tourism industry
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering operational excellence
  • Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field
