Job description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee daily operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently.
  2. Supervise maintenance staff to ensure equipment is properly maintained and any breakdowns are promptly addressed.
  3. Prepare and manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  4. Coordinate with engineering and operations teams for smooth maintenance and operations.
  5. Monitor inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring timely reordering and accurate expenditure tracking.
  6. Identify opportunities for process, productivity, and quality improvements within the plant.
  7. Lead monthly stocktaking and ensure proper inventory control.
  8. Organize training programs to enhance team skills and performance.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations during operations and inspections.
  10. Assist with additional tasks as required by management.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Maintenance Management, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in operations roles.
  2. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage teams in challenging environments.
  3. Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards (ISO, OHSAS, etc.), and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  4. Willing to work in Bidor, Perak.
