Job description

Established in 1966, Malayan Flour Mills Berhad is a publicly listed food manufacturing company. Renowned as the pioneer of flour milling in Malaysia, MFM Berhad operates under VimaFlour LTD, Mekong Flour Mills LTD, and PT Bungasari Flour Mills Indonesia, and is prominent in the flour milling industry in Vietnam and Indonesia.

With over 50 years of expertise, MFM Berhad has expanded into various business divisions such as poultry integration, aquafeeds production, and raw materials trading. Strengthening our position in the poultry and Halal food industries, we partnered with Tyson Food INC, the world’s second-largest meat processor and marketer, on 10 February 2021.

In November 2021, we commissioned a state-of-the-art poultry processing plant, one of the most advanced in the region, with a daily processing capacity of up to 280,000 birds. We aim to meet the needs of Malaysia's Halal industry, valued at USD 147.4 billion, projected to grow by 2025.

Job Description

1. Plan, control, and manage the efficient operation of production lines to meet daily targets.
2. Execute daily shift production schedules by operating and balancing wheat cleaning and flour milling lines to achieve efficiency, extraction rates, capacity, and quality standards.
3. Promote a safe workplace and culture within the department, ensuring adherence to Safety Operating Procedures and proper PPE usage. Ensure staff are trained and licensed appropriately.
4. Foster a 5S culture within the department, measuring results and guiding employees on workplace organization and cleanliness.
5. Ensure compliance with regulations, legislative requirements, and procedures such as HACCP, ISO 22000, Machinery Department, GMP, etc., ensuring renewals and uninterrupted operations.
6. Monitor, review, and audit outputs for quality compliance, ensuring consistency with blending formulations to prevent customer complaints and enhance branding.
7. Plan and manage training initiatives to upgrade personnel skills and knowledge, supporting career development.
8. Ensure Production Assistants perform preventive maintenance and coordinate with engineering to maintain efficient production levels.
9. Initiate continuous improvement programs, including technological updates, process improvements, and growth initiatives.
10. Ensure machinery bypasses are approved by the Plant Manager in accordance with SOPs.
11. Support ISO 22000 requirements and participate in related activities.
12. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Certificates/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
