Job summary

Central Coldstorage Kuching Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead day-to-day category activities in both retail and wholesale channels. You will drive product assortment, pricing, promotions, and category performance while optimizing gross margin and stock productivity.

• Minimum 4-6 years working experience in merchandising, category management, retail buying, FMCG, supermarket or food-related business.
• Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory role is preferred.
• Experience in retail and wholesale food business is an advantage.
• Experience managing multiple categories, branches or outlets is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities: To manage the day-to-day merchandising and category-performance activities of the company, with primary focus on product assortment, pricing, promotion planning, category sales, gross margin, stock productivity, new-product performance and merchandising execution across retail and wholesale channels.

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Management, Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline. Category-management or retail-merchandising certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 4-6 years working experience in merchandising, category management, retail buying, FMCG, supermarket or food-related business. Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory role is preferred. Salary RM4.5K and above depending on the qualification and experience.
• Experience in retail and wholesale food business is an advantage.
• Experience managing multiple categories, branches or outlets is preferred.
• Strong analytical and commercial ability.
• Good leadership and coaching skills.
