Position Overview

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Website & SEO Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and optimising the websites of Taylor’s Schools in Malaysia to deliver outstanding user experience, visibility and enquiry conversion. This role blends technical expertise with digital marketing skills to ensure that each school’s online presence is accurate, engaging, and highly visible in search results and AI-powered search environments. The position plays a critical role in enhancing brand reputation, increasing website traffic and improving lead generation to support student enrolment growth.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management & User Experience

  • Update and maintain content, images, and multimedia across all school websites using WordPress, Elementor and other relevant tools.
  • Ensure content accuracy and timeliness for programmes, tuition fees, news and events.
  • Collaborate with our website agency partner to implement technical updates, bug fixes, and enhancements.
  • Monitor site performance, security and user experience using GA4, Google Search Console and similar tools.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve UX, technical and accessibility issues.
  • Optimise websites for enquiry journeys (e.g., Enquire – Book a Tour – Apply) and test calls-to-action through A/B testing.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), AIO & GEO

  • Own and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy to improve organic search rankings and enquiry traffic.
  • Develop SEO- and AI-friendly content (blogs, landing pages, resources) in collaboration with school marketing teams.
  • Partner with our website agency partner to shape AIO (AI Optimisation) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) strategies for visibility in AI-driven search.
  • Stay current with trends in SEO, AI and digital marketing to keep Taylor’s Schools at the forefront of best practice.
  • Collaborate with school marketing teams to create high-quality, optimised website copy, landing pages and blog posts.
  • Maintain a content calendar aligned with brand storytelling pillars and key school dates for updates such as school calendar and school fees.

Analytics, Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and analyse KPIs such as engagement rate, bounce rate, enquiry conversions, and keyword performance.
  • Use heatmaps, behaviour flow, and conversion funnels to inform UX improvements.
  • Benchmark website performance across our schools.
  • Prepare regular management reports with insights and recommendations.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all websites comply with GDPR/PDPA and internal data protection policies.
  • Maintain accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure usability for all audiences.
  • Safeguard brand consistency and copyright compliance across content.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

  • Support and train school-based marketing staff in website and SEO best practices.
  • Partner with School marketing and admissions to align web content with parent needs and conversion goals.
  • Collaborate with IT for hosting, performance, and uptime issues.
  • Liaise with external vendors/agencies when specialist expertise is required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in website management and SEO, ideally in multi-site organisations with at least 5 to 6 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, Elementor) and basic HTML/CSS.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz) and analytics platforms (GA4).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on SEO optimisation.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage updates across multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, data-driven mindset.
  • Experience with A/B testing and UX optimisation preferred.
  • Familiarity with GDPR/PDPA compliance and web accessibility standards an advantage.
