Job summary

Prudential is seeking a Sustainability Manager to support the implementation of sustainability strategy across local business units, coordinating initiatives and driving stakeholder engagement. The role focuses on embedding sustainability into business processes, with emphasis on data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related fields, ideally within financial or professional services.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in AI tools (e.g., Copilot), design tools (e.g., Canva), and social platforms (e.g., Instagram).
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in delivering impactful internal and external messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track Group-wide sustainability initiatives to align with strategic priorities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and generate actionable insights.
  • Contribute to transformation efforts by gathering data and supporting initiative design and delivery.
  • Partner with LBUs to assess sustainability maturity, extract insights, and support local strategy execution.
  • Monitor LBU progress and prepare updates for internal reporting.
  • Support communication of sustainability strategy across markets and functions through presentations preparation and coordination.
  • Assist LBUs with local implementation, including developing training materials, guidelines, and hosting virtual clinics.
  • Contribute to embedding sustainability into annual business processes such as 3-year business plan.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs to develop sustainability communications for internal platforms.
  • Create engaging content for internal audiences.
  • Track and report on sustainability progress (financial and non-financial), highlighting impact.
  • Coordinate activities related to Sustainability CoE operating model.
  • Track project progress and support reporting against team objectives and public commitments.
  • Maintain a repository of sustainability narratives and internal messaging.
  • Support agile, collaborative ways of working within the team.
  • Help roll out the CoE across LBUs, including hub calls and engagement sessions.

The Sustainability Manager will support the implementation of Prudential’s sustainability strategy across local business units (LBUs), working closely with the Senior Manager, Business Development to coordinate on-the-ground initiatives. This role will focus on driving sustainability integration, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery, while ensuring alignment with Prudential’s global sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
  • Coordinate and track Group-wide sustainability initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic priorities

  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and generate actionable insights

  • Contribute to transformation efforts by gathering data and supporting initiative design and delivery

LBU & Function Engagement
  • Partner with LBUs to assess sustainability maturity, extract insights, and support local strategy execution

  • Monitor LBU progress and prepare updates for internal reporting

  • Support communication of sustainability strategy across markets and functions through presentations preparation and coordination

  • Assist LBUs with local implementation, including developing training materials, guidelines, and hosting virtual clinics

  • Contribute to embedding sustainability into annual business processes such as 3 year business plan

Employee Engagement & Communication
  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs and internal teams to develop sustainability communications for platforms like Viva Engage and 1-Pru

  • Create engaging content tailored to different internal audiences

  • Support the development of briefing materials for consultations, investor meetings, and events

  • Assist in preparing training and engagement materials for senior leadership

  • Track and report on sustainability progress (financial and non-financial), highlighting impact and outcomes

Sustainability Team Support
  • Coordinate activities related to the Sustainability Center of Excellence (CoE) operating model

  • Track project progress and support reporting against team objectives and public commitments

  • Maintain a repository of sustainability narratives, LBU intelligence, and internal messaging

  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture by supporting agile, collaborative ways of working

  • Help roll out the CoE across LBUs, including organizing hub calls and informal engagement sessions

Qualifications & Experience
