A leading automotive company in Malaysia seeks a Sales Manager to develop and implement sales strategies, manage stockists, and enhance market performance. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in sales and distribution management, preferably in the automotive sector, along with strong analytical and negotiation skills.

a) Sales Strategy and Target Achievement
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sufficient monthly orders/sales target.
Monitor stockist sales performance regularly and take corrective actions to improve results.
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to adjust strategies accordingly with management approval.
Promoting products online through ads, social media, SEO and email campaigns.
b) Stockist Management:
Identify and onboard new stockist/distributors in the assigned region (based on analysis and approval).
Build and maintain strong relationships with stockist and other channel partners.
Provide guidance and support to stockist, ensuring they meet sales targets and adhere to company standards.
Act as a liaison between the company and the stockist, ensuring smooth communication.
c) Inventory and Order Management:
Internal Coordination to ensure timely order placement, delivery, and stock replenishment for stockist.
Monitor stock levels and ensure that stockist are adequately stocked to meet demand.
Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely product availability and avoid stockouts.
d) Sales Training and Support:
Conduct necessary training for stockist and their teams to improve sales effectiveness.
Provide regular updates on product features, promotions, and pricing to keep stockists informed.
Assist in the development of campaign/promotional activities to boost sales in the region aligned with other OEMs.
e) Market Intelligence and Reporting:
Track market trends, benchmarking competitor activities/pricing , and customer feedback to provide insights for strategy adjustments.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports and market intelligence to the management.
Evaluate stockist performance based on sales, profitability, and company’s service quality.
f) Relationship Management:
Develop long-term relationships with key stockist and help resolve any issues or concerns they may have.
Ensure the effective implementation of sales programs, incentives, and promotions at the stockist level.
Manage disputes or challenges faced by stockist and ensure timely resolution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Possessed Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. (MBA preferred)
Minimum 6 years working experience in sales and distribution management, preferably in the automotive industry and marketing areas.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint.
Able to speak, read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective business relationships.
Candidate must be willing to work at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
