Position Title

Assistant Manager, Station Sales

Reports To

Regional Manager, Sales (Malaysia & Brunei)

Position Summary

Manage the designated station sales team by implementing robust sales and marketing plans, ensuring customer-centric operational excellence, and achieving sales targets aligned with revenue goals and Commercial Strategic Pillars (CSP).

Key Accountability
  1. Establish good relationships with all travel agencies, travel trade partners, and tourism boards to drive sales and ensure continuous support in line with business sales policy. Advise them on the Company sales procedures and policies.
  2. Explore growth opportunities and implement sales strategies and policies to achieve revenue targets within the allocated budget, monitor performance data & KPI related to sales and revenue, and achieve CSP targets.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve and drive high-yield revenue from travel agencies and trade partners.
  4. Gather feedback from the trade, analyze regional sales performance including competitor analysis, and provide recommendations and solutions to management for a more robust sales drive.
  5. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to the station sales team, addressing shortcomings promptly to develop an effective, high-performing team.
  6. Provide ad-hoc/administrative support to the Regional Manager, Sales (Malaysia & Brunei), and perform other support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Marketing with 7 years of experience in sales and commercial activities, or
  • Diploma in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Marketing with 10 years of experience in sales and commercial activities.
Area of Experience
  • Strong knowledge of the airline commercial business is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Good analytical thinking skills.
  • Leadership skills are important, but must also be a team player.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
