We are seeking an experienced trade service professional to join our Wholesale Credit Operations team. The Assistant Manager / Senior Executive for Trade Services is responsible for the processing of trade transactions via a trade computerized system to ensure the timely completion of data input and filing of documents. The successful candidate will report to the Head Trade Operations.
Job Responsibilities
Functional
Keep track payments of outstanding bills and examination of trade documents to ensure transaction accuracy.
Check, verify, process and input trade transactions through the system TE2000 in adherence with procedures.
Process the trade transactions, including for Hong Leong Islamic Bank Bhd and ensure financing of trade transactions aligns with the customer's nature of business.
Familiar with and have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and ICC publications related to Trade.
Conduct monthly physical balancing for Past Due Bills/Hasil stamps and perform half-yearly physical balancing.
Managerial
Train team members and motivate them by creating awareness of the Bank’s values.
Troubleshoot, identify risks in trade related issues and take improvement initiatives to eliminate or minimize these risks and increase productivity.
Job Requirements
Malaysian citizen.
Candidate with a relevant Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking/Economics/Business Administration/Commerce or equivalent.
3 years and above of working experience in trade operations. Candidates with extensive managerial experience in trade operations but without tertiary qualifications will also be considered.
Proficient in English (written and spoken) and PC literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels and strong analytical skills with problem solving skills.
