We are seeking an experienced trade service professional to join our Wholesale Credit Operations team. The Assistant Manager / Senior Executive for Trade Services is responsible for the processing of trade transactions via a trade computerized system to ensure the timely completion of data input and filing of documents. The successful candidate will report to the Head Trade Operations.

Job Responsibilities

Functional

  • Keep track payments of outstanding bills and examination of trade documents to ensure transaction accuracy.

  • Check, verify, process and input trade transactions through the system TE2000 in adherence with procedures.

  • Process the trade transactions, including for Hong Leong Islamic Bank Bhd and ensure financing of trade transactions aligns with the customer's nature of business.

  • Familiar with and have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and ICC publications related to Trade.

  • Conduct monthly physical balancing for Past Due Bills/Hasil stamps and perform half-yearly physical balancing.

Managerial

  • Train team members and motivate them by creating awareness of the Bank’s values.

  • Troubleshoot, identify risks in trade related issues and take improvement initiatives to eliminate or minimize these risks and increase productivity.

Job Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen.

  • Candidate with a relevant Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking/Economics/Business Administration/Commerce or equivalent.

  • 3 years and above of working experience in trade operations. Candidates with extensive managerial experience in trade operations but without tertiary qualifications will also be considered.

  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) and PC literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels and strong analytical skills with problem solving skills.
