Qualifications

  • 6 years related experience, including 3 years as a Security and Safety Officer or similar role.

  • Familiar with Emergency Response Plans and safety programs.

Job description

Responsible for the overall safety and security of the premises in the building.

Manage the entire operations, staffing & equipment of the Security Department as well as the Outsourced Security Company.

Implement safety and security strategies, policies, and guidelines to protect the company properties, tenants & customers.

Perform watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting or loitering around the building.

Act as a member of OSHA committee within the group and provide guidance to the Group OSHA committee to align the house rules with building OSH regulations.

Plan and conduct safety and security programs – fire prevention, fire drills, CPR, lost & found process, etc.

Maintain relationships with BOMBA, Police, etc.

Conduct investigations and coordinate with relevant authorities on security & safety matters.

Attend to queries and complaints from tenants and visitors, especially regarding security & safety.

Plan and oversee safety measures for VIP arrivals, functions, and events in the building.

Conduct internal training on safety and security topics.

Any other duties as required.

Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • At least 6 years of related experience, including 3 years as a Security and Safety Officer or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of local safety and security laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in computer use, report writing, presentations, and proposals.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent investigation skills and problem-solving approach.
  • Background in security, armed forces, or protective services is an advantage.
  • Familiar with Emergency Response Plans (ERP), firefighting systems, Public Address System, and CCTV operations.
