About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Risk Management to join our growing team at IHH Healthcare Berhad in our KL Eco City office in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of our comprehensive risk management framework across the organisation.

What you'll be doing
  1. Risk Advisory Support: Support Risk Managers in identifying, assessing, and managing risks for portfolio Divisions. Monitor risk mitigation activities and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
  2. Risk Reporting Support: Contribute to the preparation of risk reports for quarterly clearance meetings at Division, Group, and Board levels. Serve as the Secretariat for Management Risk & Resilience Committee (MRRC) meetings.
  3. System Administration: Manage RiskMan and upcoming eGRC software, ensuring system functionality and user access. Provide training, support, and generate risk reports for management reviews.
  4. Event Management: Organize the annual Risk & Compliance Forum and related training workshops or webinars, handling venue booking, agenda creation, speaker coordination, and post-event assessments.
  5. Risk Communications: Curate and tailor Gartner risk articles for IHH, share them with Risk Leads, and develop a SharePoint site for easy access to Risk Management content, positioning it as a Center of Excellence.
  6. Annual Review Support: Assist in the annual review and update of risk-related policies, contribute to updating the SORMIC and Principal Risk sections of the Annual Report, and coordinate with External Auditors to provide supporting documentation for risk statements.
  7. Administrative and Analytical Support: Provide additional support such as procurement assistance and drafting approval papers as needed. A willingness to explore new areas, like Business Resilience, is desirable.
What we're looking for
  • Degree in Accountancy, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years' experience in risk consulting or managing risks in a multinational corporation's risk management department.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Highly motivated with strong skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and managing projects and events.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
