Objectives of the Position
- Support function for Head of Regional Security Management / Regional Security Officer APAC
- Support the RSO in developing, modifying, and implementing a regional corporate security strategy
- Support and steering of security measures for high-risk countries
- Development and implementation of a sustainable cross-divisional regional corporate security structure
- Integration and harmonization of existing regional security organizations
- Establishing and maintaining a regional network with the relevant departments and authorities
- Coordination and review of the “annual security review process” for the location/region
- Support in rolling out new “Global Risk Information System (GloRis) and Global Incident Reporting System (Resolver) in the APAC region
- Conduct local security assessments and monitor implementation of agreed risk improvement measures
- Oversee and coordinate cross-divisional implementation of relevant corporate policies in the region
- Training of security staff and team members of locations in area/topics of responsibility
- Support local SO’s implementation of local crisis management systems (at the plant/state level) in the region
- Define, plan and carry out projects with RSO and local Security Officers in security related topics
- Implementation of early warning process for security related topics; oversee implementation and coordination of countermeasures to prevent damage to company assets
- Provide support in crisis management, travel security, and expatriate protection
- Contribute to the 24/7 monitoring and analysis of global/regional security situations, incident reporting, intelligence assessments, and initial crisis response
- Act as a bridge between Regional Security Office APAC and the SitCenter Hub APAC, ensuring aligned processes, reporting, and early warning
Project Management
- Lead and execute security-related projects from concept to completion, including planning, structuring, scheduling, budgeting, and controlling.
- Define detailed work packages and milestones, ensure deliverables, and monitor progress.
- Identify deviations and implement corrective actions to secure project success.
- Develop project proposals, decision templates, and coordinate stakeholder alignment.
- Conduct and support continuous, comprehensive risk assessments across regional and local sites.
- Coordinate the Annual Risk Review Process and ensure compliance at site and regional level.
- Oversee implementation of the Global Risk and Information System; collect, analyze, and consolidate KPIs for Corporate Security headquarters.
- Define and monitor operational and strategic measures to reduce or avoid risks in collaboration with plant managers, executives, and CEOs.
Corporate Security Standards & Policies
- Provide expert guidance on corporate policies including facility security, crisis management, investigations, travel & expat security, and information protection.
- Translate global standards into site-level processes and monitor compliance.
- Offer risk-based advice for new construction and facility upgrades regarding infrastructure security.
- Train and coach security personnel and site managers to strengthen awareness and professional capability.
Crisis Management & Travel/Expat Security
- Support local and regional management in applying corporate crisis policies.
- Coordinate travel and expatriate security measures in high-risk countries.
- Deliver tailored risk assessments and consultations to employees and executives.
- Ensure structured communication and decision support during crises, enabling rapid and effective responses.
Security Situation Center Operations
- Contribute to SitCenter Hub APAC operations: monitoring security developments, incident reporting, intelligence analysis, and crisis updates.
- Act as first responder during incidents, coordinating with Regional Security Officers and distributing information to stakeholders.
- Support crisis management teams with structured and timely information flow.
Communication & Committee Work
- Develop and manage internal communication channels and reporting structures (e.g., Regional Security Conference).
- Foster knowledge-sharing, transparency, and exchange of best practices across the region.
- Build and maintain networks with authorities, ministries, embassies, and industry.
- Represent the company in external security committees and networks, promoting collaboration and alignment with international standards.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma/BA study program or comparable training
- Career training for the professional/public service (Police/Professional Firefighter Service/Military) or other comparable training
Experience (type)
- In-depth knowledge of the APAC Region
- Competence in international employee coordination and management of “virtual/global” teams
- Strong competence in project management
- Significant interest in the areas of corporate security and current security affairs
