  • Responsible in developing and executing property development activities and timeline of assigned projects including project schedules, identifying critical milestones and dependencies.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential delays or obstacles to keep the assigned projects on track.
  • Work collaboratively with internal (IIUM Holdings Group) and external stakeholders involved in the projects ie Corporate Heads, CEOs, subsidiaries, consultants, contractors, government officials, building operators etc.
  • Liaise with authority to obtain necessary works approval, from project Development Order, Building Plan, external infrastructure permits, interim inspections, and final inspections for CCC.
  • Manage feasibility studies, site evaluation, and risk assessments to determine projects viability.
  • Participate in the design development process to ensure the project brief objective and design requirements are meeting the management's needs.
  • Participate in the tender and procurement process, including be a member of evaluation committee.
  • Assist in the management of construction process to resolve site technical issues, spearheading meetings, keeping track on consultants/contractors' deliverables
  • Manage contractor's attendance to building defects and resolving the defects' root cause during contract's defects liability period
  • Ensure compliance to relevant statutory requirements at all times.
  • Monitor the progress of assigned projects throughout the entire project lifecycle to achieve effective time, cost, quality, and meeting environmental, safety and health management objectives.
  • Monitor project cost, to ensure viable budgetary amount, monitor potential Variation Orders and provide Value Engineering inputs to meet project financial goals.
  • Maintain proper records and documentation of the assigned projects including permits, contracts, inspection forms, correspondences, drawings etc.
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities within project team to ensure project delivery on time.
  • Prepare monthly report to the management of IIUM Holdings
  • Provide support to Chief Strategy Officer in corporate assignments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Architecture / Engineering (Civil / Structure / Mechanical / Electrical) / Project Management / Property / Real Estate or related field.
  • Masters Degree is encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 4 years experience preferably in property development.
  • Knowledge in the property development process and lease regulations/laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident, sociable, and persuasive when pitching ideas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Melayu
  • Ability to articulate thoughts, ideas and arguments.
  • An excellent team player and result oriented.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently and with other departments.
