Job summary

Great Eastern in Kuala Lumpur seeks a seasoned professional to support strategic planning, performance management and operational transformation across the Operations function.

You will assist in analytics, reporting and KPI tracking, while enabling process improvements, automation and AI-driven initiatives to boost efficiency and customer experience. A strong foundation in project and change management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analytics, statistics, computer science, IT, actuarial science or related disciplines.
• 3–5 years of experience in insurance, financial services or related industries.
• Experience in strategic planning, project management, business analytics or operational excellence.
• Experience in process improvement, digitalisation or transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to AI, automation, workflow solutions or process mining.

Responsibilities

Job description

To support strategic planning, operational transformation and data-driven decision making within Operations. The role is responsible to support strategic initiatives, process optimisation, analytics, digitalisation and AI-enabled opportunities to improve operational efficiency, servicing experience, and business outcomes.

Strategic Planning and Performance Management

• Support the Operations Planning Manager in developing and executing Operations strategic work plan aligned to divisional objectives.
• Coordinate strategic initiatives across departments and monitor progress against agreed milestones and KPIs.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and presentations for senior management, committees and regulatory purposes.
• Monitor key operational metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and customer experience.
• Facilitate business planning exercises, strategic reviews and performance tracking across Operations.

Operational Excellence & Transformation

• Participate in Operations transformation and process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, Process Mining, Design Thinking, Agile or other proven methodologies.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation, digitalization and AI-enabled solutions within Operations.
• Conduct process reviews and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency, controls and customer experience.
• Support implementation of organizational change initiatives and monitor benefit realization.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and development of sustainable corrective actions for operational issues.

Project & Change Management

• Support project planning, execution, monitoring and reporting for Operations initiatives.
• Coordinate project documentation, stakeholder engagement and governance activities.
• Track project deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare, manage. Monitor and track User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management and implementation readiness.
• Support management activities, communications and post-implementation reviews.
