Job Purpose

This role involves processing minor policy alterations such as full/partial withdrawals, surrenders, policy loans, stop payments, and unsuccessful direct debits. The role includes providing technical guidance to junior team members, ensuring adherence to turnaround times and service level agreements, and supporting project initiatives to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

The Role:
  • Process policyholder applications within authority limits.
  • Handle complex transactions, analyze issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Address customer, agent, and vendor inquiries and complaints, monitor resolutions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for processes including withdrawals, surrenders, policy loans, stop payments, rider/bonus surrender, and payout processes.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members to meet processing targets.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives aligned with departmental goals.
  • Assist the Manager with assigned tasks, report progress, and manage risks related to compliance and regulations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to safeguard the company.
  • Highlight potential risks and share best practices for risk management.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.
The Person:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields; insurance or finance major is a plus.
  • Professional qualifications such as AMII/ACII, FLI, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in a team leader or senior role; insurance experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
