To lead and support the Group Procurement team in planning, sourcing, negotiating, and managing procurement operations across multiple business units, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and alignment with strategic sourcing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies across the group to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with key suppliers. Support supplier performance reviews and issue resolution.
- Sourcing & Negotiation: Source materials, equipment, and services. Conduct RFQs/RFPs and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and terms.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards. Assist in managing supplier risks.
- Category Management: Support category managers in analyzing spend and identifying opportunities for category-based savings and efficiency improvements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and business units to align procurement needs with organizational goals.
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor KPIs, prepare procurement reports, and provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and help implement process enhancements in procurement systems and procedures.
- Team Management: Guide, train, and lead other Group Procurement team members to address operational challenges.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in a group or corporate environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
