Assistant Manager - Mobility Education Unit

The Mobility Education Office of Mila University is seeking an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager to support the planning, promotion, and implementation of short-term local and international (excluding China) student programs. These include study tours, inbound student exchange programs, short-term language courses, and other related initiatives. The role also involves administrative duties and internal departmental coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and be proficient in both English and Chinese to liaise with management from China.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Promotion & Implementation

Assist the department head on designing and planning short-term programs, including academic content, schedules, and budgeting

Establish and maintain communication with local and international partner institutions, agencies, or organizations to promote and coordinate collaborative programs

Monitor and involve in preparing and maintaining promotional materials such as brochures, web content, and social media posts

Assist the department head on managing student application processes including registration, selection, and pre-departure arrangements

Coordinate program logistics, including accommodation, transportation, venue booking, and guest lecturers

Monitor and involve in preparing and maintaining promotional materials such as brochures, web content, and social media posts

Organize the collection of post-program feedback and compile program evaluation reports

2. Departmental & Administrative Support

Assist the department head on the development and refinement of internal processes and documentation systems

Monitor and involve in daily administrative duties such as meeting arrangements, internal communications, expense claims, and budget tracking

Assist the department head in team coordination and project progress tracking

Liaise with other internal departments (e.g., International Office, Finance Office, Logistics, etc.) to support program operations

3. Additional Duties

Assist the department head on the development of new projects, including online programs or academic collaborations

Keep up with international education trends and contribute ideas for program innovation

Assist in onboarding and training of new staff or interns

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in International Education, Project Management, Administrative Management, or related fields

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in international education or higher education administration

Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese

Proficient in Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace)

Excellent organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail

Strong intercultural communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment

Willingness to work flexible hours and travel for short-term assignments as needed
