The Treasury Processing Manager is responsible for the accurate processing, verification, and authorization of Forex, Derivatives, Structured Products, FCY Money Market, and Fixed Income transactions for Hong Leong Bank and its overseas branches. This includes ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines, managing operational and regulatory risks, and contributing to new product development. The successful candidate will also be involved in leading and mentoring subordinates, fostering teamwork within the department.
This role reports to the Head of Treasury Processing.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Functional (job responsibilities)
- Responsible for processing and authorizing a variety of transactions, including Forex (both corporate and interbank), foreign currency fixed income, interest rate and cross-currency swaps, options, futures, equities, and structured products.
- Monitors the reconciliation of payments between Murex and EPP to ensure all transactions are confirmed ("ACK status").
- Reviews and redesigns workflows for Forex and Derivatives to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Prepares and submits timely reports for the department, such as the BNM Financial Markets Survey, BNM Statsmart reporting, compliance breach reports, and operational risk reports.
- Focuses on implementing operational risk management activities specific to the business and helps with the daily monitoring of operational risks within the team.
Jobholder RequirementsEducation/Qualification- Degree in Business and Finance, Economics, Banking or any related fields.
Experience/Requirements- 8 years and above experience in the Financial Services Industry, focusing on Treasury operations.
- Good understanding of Treasury Financial Instrument and the settlement process.
- Proven excellence in planning, organizational, and time management abilities, coupled with strong execution skills.
