Job summary

A leading company in the automotive industry is seeking a Sustainability Manager to drive the implementation of their ESG Strategy across multiple regions. This role requires extensive stakeholder engagement, project management, and a focus on sustainability initiatives such as renewable energy and corporate social responsibility. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have over 8 years of experience in related roles. A strong background in planning, coordination, and communication will be essential for success in this position.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation of the ESG Strategy and initiatives across the Sime Motors Division in all countries of operation.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to track the implementation and reporting of key metrics to ensure the ESG strategy meets the delivery timetable
  • Coordinate the governance & reporting of key metrics to inform the Motors Division of strategy progress and influencing the business to close any performance gaps
  • Develop risk evaluation methodologies to assess the impact of the Strategy implementation on businesses across the Motors Division by demonstrating the inherent & residual with improved risk controls and performance
  • Communicate key achievements and milestones of the ESG Strategy across the Motors Division & SDB Group to embed best practice
  • Support the Motors Strategy & Business Performance function to contribute to the ESG Strategy in particular their social corporate responsibilities and capability to execute the people & cultural aspects of the Sustainability Blueprint.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Sustainability, Business, Law or Human Resources or related
  • 8+ years relevant work experience in Sustainability, on areas below:
  • Investment in renewable energy
  • Responsible supply chains & modern slavery;
  • Investment in cleaner more efficient technologies;
  • Mobility as a service;
  • Consolidate ESG understanding through training & development;
  • Corporate Social Responsibility activities across all countries of operation;
  • Embed inclusion & diversity in our human resources & operational activities.
  • Extensive engagement experience across divergent stakeholders / groups internally & externally to implement strategy
  • Good communication & stakeholder engagement skills capable of building commitment to excellent results
  • Capable to simplify technical issues into everyday language in order to grow engagement & deliver results across the Motors Division.
  • Project management expertise with ability to deliver results at strategic level
  • Planning, coordination & reporting abilities across the Motors Division to galvanise commitment & progress.
