- Developing and implementing sustainability related policies, procedures, programmes, and initiatives in alignment with the Group’s strategic plan and goals.
- Conducting research and analysis on trends, best practices, and opportunities related to sustainability.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders on sustainability issues, including employees, shareholders, investors, customers, suppliers, and the general public.
- Serve as a resource and expert on sustainability for the Group – all business and corporate divisions.
- Developing and overseeing implementation of sustainability reporting, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) indicators.
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics, track progress against goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Managing data collection and analysis for sustainability reporting.
- Coordinating and managing third-party verification of sustainability reports.
- Prepare Taliworks annual sustainability report for publication.
- Disseminate findings and recommendations from sustainability reports to key internal and external audiences.
- Advocate for sustainable business practices within the company and externally with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams/ all departments on integrating sustainability into business functions across the Group.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams/ all departments to develop and implement sustainability programmes and initiatives.
- Communicating with internal stakeholders to gather feedback on existing programmes, encouraging participation in new initiatives, and monitoring programme performance and outcomes.
- Communicating the organisation's sustainability efforts and achievements to stakeholders at large, through digital or non-digital platforms.
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and voluntary commitments related to sustainability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the organisation's sustainability objectives.
Requirement:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, or related field.
- Possess at least 3-5 years’ professional experience in sustainability, environmental management, or related field.
- Understanding of key sustainability concepts (e.g., carbon reduction, renewable energy).
- Knowledgeable and familiar with the regulations/ policies specific to the industry.
- Ability to develop and align sustainability goals with the company’s overall strategy.
- Experience in planning, executing, and managing sustainability projects effectively and ability to meet deadlines, with attention to detail and timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with different deadlines.
- Ability to gather, analyse, and report sustainability data (i.e. carbon emissions or energy consumption).
- Ability to identify sustainability challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and management skills to collaborate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resourceful, creative, and able to think innovatively while functioning independently and/or within a team, even under pressure or in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to communicate complex sustainability issues to diverse stakeholders, including executives, policymakers, and the public.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software programmes.
