Assistant Manager / Manager (Shipping & Warehouse - Food Manufacturing)

You will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of products to customers and maintaining accurate records of shipments. You should have experience in managing shipping and logistics operations in a food manufacturing environment and be familiar with the regulations and requirements for food product transportation.

Job Description - Shipping:
  • Manage all aspects of the shipping process, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments.
  • Plan and coordinate daily shipping activities, including scheduling shipments, preparing shipping documents, and coordinating with carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and customs requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation and tracking information.
  • Develop and implement KPIs to measure and monitor the performance of shipping operations.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Work closely with sales and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Develop and implement training programs for shipping staff to ensure proficiency in shipping operations and safety procedures.
  • Manage and supervise the shipping team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor and analyze shipping performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, transit time, and transportation costs.
  • Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as production and sales, to align shipping activities with business objectives.
  • Develop and manage the shipping budget.
Job Description - Warehouse:
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of all raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations for storage and handling of food products, including proper temperature control, labeling, and documentation.
  • Develop and implement inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams to maintain adequate stock levels and ensure timely delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Develop and implement training programs for warehouse staff to ensure proficiency and safety.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement KPIs to monitor warehouse performance.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics providers for timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Lead the warehouse team to achieve accuracy, upkeep, and quality of operations.
  • Optimize stock availability and fill rate while maintaining reasonable stock levels.
  • Oversee quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce errors.
