The Role
  1. Implement and set up the new IFRS 17 reporting requirements.
  2. Draft and finalize the interpretation of IFRS 17 reporting standards into Technical Accounting Papers.
  3. Assist in designing a strategic framework, including assessing the size of the transition block and recommending the best transition approach.
  4. Assist in designing and building the Prophet model architecture for IFRS 17 calculation.
  5. Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on the Prophet Model and sub-ledger system.
  6. Conduct Impact Studies and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
The Person
  1. Possess a recognized Bachelor Degree or higher in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or other relevant fields.
  2. Passed Intermediate actuarial exams in one of the actuarial associations recognized by BNM.
  3. Good understanding of insurance actuarial principles. Knowledge of IFRS 17 general principles will be a value-added skill.
  4. Minimum of 3 years in General Insurance (GI) actuarial valuation work, preferably including model development.
