Assistant Manager, Logistics & Warehousing

To provide an optimum level of planning in the daily operation of the store to maintain proper and optimal storage of medical consumables, as well as to fulfill supply requisitions from hospital departments and off-site operations in a timely and accurate manner.

Core Duties

• Lead commissioning of new stores (on/off-site) to support growth needs and hospital expansion plans.
• Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures for medical consumables/non-pharmaceutical items storage, in accordance with laws, company guidelines, and accreditation standards.
• Manage and organize departmental activities.
• Approve purchase requisitions for medical consumables and non-pharmaceutical products based on PAR levels and usage to ensure continuous supply.
• Optimize stock levels and holding periods without disrupting operations.
• Manage defective, slow-moving, or short-expiry stocks.
• Evaluate storage space requirements and utilization periodically to support operational decisions.
• Enforce procedures for semi-annual stock counts, investigate variances, and report findings.
• Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and stockholding.
• Propose capital and operational expenses and departmental projects as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. Additional qualifications such as 5S, Lean Six Sigma, etc., are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably in the healthcare industry and with hospital accreditation standards such as MSQH, ACHS, or JCI.
