Qualifications

Job description

A good understanding of legal principles and laws.

The ability to handle all types of legal documents served on the Company.

Able to draft, edit, negotiate, review, revise and vet contracts or agreements and manage legal documents.

Maintain a good filing system, both electronically and manually, to support the information and management of legal documents, legal files, contracts and documents.

To assist research and to ensure matters are in compliance with the Malaysian laws and regulations and to carry out research on latest legal developments.

Updating and ensuring the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and within company’s policies.

To report to Group Head of Legal.

Conduct research on law, case law, legislations, regulations and other legal matters as assigned and as required.

Advising on disputes and providing litigation support to the Company.

Provide a high level of professional assistance on legal matters involving the Company.

Undertake special assignments and other duties as assigned from time to time by the Group Head of Legal.

IT savvy and proficient with Microsoft office Applications (Word, Excel and Power Point Presentation).

Able to maintain strict confidentiality and interact professionally with all levels of management, staff and clients.

Able to work in fast-pace environment with minimum supervision.

To manage or liaise with external solicitors and other third-party advisors on the Company’s legal matters and able to coordinate all information required by the external Solicitors for handling legal matters for the Company.

Conducting legal due diligence as required.

Job Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent.

Candidate must have worked as in-house Counsel in a Company or worked in a Legal Firm as a Para Legal who is familiar with litigation and corporate matters for not less than five (5) years and is able to handle legal matters for the Company with minimum supervision.

Possess strong interpersonal skills, high level of integrity and able to work independently.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Candidate must be willing to travel.
