We are seeking a dedicated and experienced legal professional to oversee and manage legal matters for a dynamic group of property development and investment companies. The Assistant Manager – Legal will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across property sales, leasing, HR, litigation, and corporate matters, ensuring that the Group’s interests are consistently protected.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for all legal matters within the Group.

Manage legal services related to property transactions, including the purchase, sale, licensing, leasing, tenancy, and hiring of land and buildings.

Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of legal agreements, such as sale and purchase agreements, tenancy agreements, agreements to lease, leases, and hiring contracts.

Strategize, negotiate, and manage legal documentation for joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and share sale and purchase transactions, both domestically and internationally.

Ensure all legal activities comply with relevant laws and align with the Group’s strategic goals.

Provide legal advice and support to departments including HR and corporate functions, as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable university.

Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure in property development, leasing, retail business, and corporate legal affairs.

Prior experience as an in-house legal counsel or legal head is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of property, corporate, and commercial law.

Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Must be based in or willing to work in Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur.
