In this role, you will be reporting to the IT Management Manager of Malaysia based in Bangsar and with a functional reporting based in Singapore.
As a Assistant IT Manager in the CMA CGM Group, you will support the Country IT Manager, Malaysia in overseeing IT operations, project delivery, and business engagement across Malaysia. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless execution of IT initiatives, maintaining operational excellence, and strengthening alignment between IT and business functions.

Main Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic liaison between IT and business units to understand needs and translate them into effective IT solutions.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and ensure IT initiatives support business goals.
- Lead and coordinate IT projects, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks/issues, and report to senior stakeholders.
- Support change management and user adoption for new technologies and systems.
- Promote continuous improvement in IT-business collaboration.
- Oversee daily IT operations and ensure service continuity across Malaysian offices.
- Provide technical guidance and backup support to the IT team.
- Contribute to IT resource planning, mobilization, and incident response.
- Travel regularly to provide on-site support and leadership across 8 offices, primarily in Klang Valley.
- Remain flexible to respond to urgent operational needs and project demands.
- Deliver application training and presentations to users as needed.
- Manage vendor relationships and support contract negotiations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 7–9 years of IT experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across both technical and business teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, including budgeting, scope control, and timely delivery.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-location environment with flexibility and mobility.
- Solid technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
- High proficiency in English—spoken, written, and reading.
