Overview:

The Assistant Manager, Global Payment Centre Operations is responsible for maintaining the General Ledger (GL), ensuring it's up-to-date, and generating various accounting reports for internal management, finance, and external audit teams, all while adhering to compliance standards.

The successful candidate reports to the Head of Credit Retail Operations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Functional (job responsibilities)

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to RPP, FPX, IBG, Auto Debit and RENTAS transactions.
  • Reconcile payment system transactions with Paynet/BNM settlement records and internal records.
  • Generate financial reports related to RPP, FPX, IBG, Auto Debit and RENTAS activity.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting and payment system regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments, including operations and technology, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the full customer interaction lifecycle, independently resolving complex issues with strong problem-solving skills.

Jobholder Requirements
  • Malaysian citizen.

Education/Qualification
  • Diploma / Degree in any discipline or experience in payments or branch operations and risk management.

Experience/Requirements
  • 3 years and above experience in GL reconciliation.
  • Rapport with PayNet and SWIFT would be essential.
  • Working proficiency in English and Malay and strong analytical skills with problem solving skills.
  • Possess strong aptitude in computerized accounting environments as well as Microsoft Office.
