Assistant Manager - Global Market Finance (Product Control)

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. P&L Reporting

• Responsible for preparation and analysis of daily Profit & Loss reporting to Global Markets.
• Review and ensure accurate and timely Profit & Loss reporting, highlight key exceptions, and follow up on any outstanding issues.
• Responsible for reconciliation of daily Profit & Loss reporting with GL Profit & Loss records.

Regulatory Reporting

• Assist in preparing BNM monthly reporting within reporting deadlines.
• Ensure timely and correct submission of financial returns to internal and external authorities (e.g., Group Finance, Group Risk, Global Markets).

Ad-Hoc Tasks

• Manage and review Global Markets Balance Sheet reconciliation.
• Assist in preparing month-end schedules for Global Market Finance.
• Assist in preparing quarterly Financial Control Reports to reconcile Murex GL against AS400 GL balances.

Jobholder Requirements:

Requirements

• Malaysian citizen.

Education/Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics).
• Preferably with ACCA/CPA and/or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., FRM, PRMIA, CFA).

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience; experience in Banking, Finance, or Insurance industry is a plus.
• Experience in Risk Management and Product Control is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Business Objects, Hyperion reporting, and Datamart management is preferred.
