Join our team as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. As Assistant Manager, your key role is to support the F&B Manager, ensure smooth daily operations, supervise staff, and step in during their absence to maintain exceptional service standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, monitoring, updating, and consolidating all operational documentation.
- Working closely with dietitians on patient meal matters.
- Monitoring and ordering F&B items and disposable stocks to ensure sufficient supplies.
- Assisting in store operations related to stock receiving, issuing, or ordering.
- Overseeing water dispenser issues across the medical center.
- Managing tray lines, meal serving in wards, and café operations.
- Guiding the food service team on operational matters.
- Managing cost control to prevent wastage.
- Handling banquet event bookings, meal orders, and coordination with kitchens/vendors.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, JCI, MSQH, HALAL policies.
- Supporting internal and external audits and addressing compliance issues.
- Resolving operational concerns for continuous improvement.
Customer Service:
- Monitoring service quality of servers.
- Conducting service training to improve customer service skills.
- Ensuring customer service matters are addressed promptly.
Hygiene and Food Safety:
- Monitoring safety and hygiene standards during operations.
- Managing external F&B outlets per contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring external operators have valid licenses and necessary documentation.
- Maintaining fire safety, disaster plans, and hygiene standards.
- Implementing pest control programs.
- Ensuring annual health inspections and certifications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in hospitality management or related food certificates (advantageous).
- At least 10 years of experience in F&B or healthcare sectors.
- Experience in administrative tasks (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Food service skills (advantageous).
